I was in town for business trying to find my next appointment when I drove past this place. Parking lot was packed which is always a good sign. I walked in and this place was like a well oiled machine. I got the special which was pork chops with brown gravy, rice, green beans & potatoes w a piece of garlic bread! The service was fast and friendly plus they had free WiFi!! Great comfort food. I would def recommend and will be back!!

This is a really great lunch spot. Service is always fast and the servers are friendly. They have great, good affordable lunch specials. That change throughout the week. Good for a quick lunch meal throughout the week.

This little neighborhood grill restaurant is just what the neighborhood needed! When you're on a fast run, need something quick or even healthy, or you just don't want to go that far from work (if you work near the Goodwood Blvd. area near Tara Blvd.), then this is the place to go! The burgers are juicy, the cajun curly fries and steak fries are awesome, and I agree with the other person who left a review, they're hot (with heat of course). The cajun curly fries are the same seasoned fries you get from Popeye's Fried Chicken except in curly cue form. I ordered the Chicken Wrap. It has grilled chicken that is very juicy, dressed with fresh crispy lettuce, ripe tomatoes, crunchy pickle slices, and mayo, but not too much, all wrapped up in a wheat tortilla wrap. YUM! It was very good!!!....and way more than I could consume. My father ordered the Hamburger special for the day that came fully dressed with lettuce, tomato, and pickles and with fries. He said it was really good! They have other stuff on their menu such as Red Beans and Rice, or Meatballs and Spaghetti with garlic bread and a salad (that was the day's special). The staff that took our order and then brought it out to us, was extremely courteous and helpful. Anything I needed they answered with a smile. Very fast upbeat lunch spot! Clean. Only waited for my food (after ordering) about 5-10 minutes. And that was still in the lunchtime hour (we were there at 12:30 p.m.), so that impressed me. They know how to take the orders and get them cooked just right and get them out to the customers! THAT is what a fast order grill is all about! This place you should try. Definite two thumbs up. I can't wait to go back and try more!

Don't come here often but when I do it's awesome! This time I tried their grilled chicken club sandwich. Seasoned and cooked well. Food was fresh. The service was outstanding. Came here for dinner during the week. Glad I stopped by!

Small, quiet place to dine in or take out. Amber has been there since I can remember and she is so friendly with great customer service. The burgers are great as well as their daily specials. The menu is full of variety. American, Cajun, Lebanese, southern cooking. Has a dish to please any customer. This place is a great restaurant and a MUST TRY!

My mom and I dined in around 1:30 and the parking lot was completely packed! Of course upon entering, every table was filled and the line...almost to the door. I grabbed a table while my mother ordered the special...Fried Catfish with potato salad. We ordered the onion rings as well. The food was amazing!!! The fish was fried very crispy (like we like) and well seasoned. Both the potato salad and onion rings were just as good! I do want to acknowledge the ONE woman I saw cleaning the tables and delivering the food. I didn't get her name, but she deserves some kind of gold star! I can tell she keeps the place running! She does an awesome job. :)

Have heard a lot about this place. I give it 3 stars because the staff was friendly and quick. Burger was ok, not impressed with quality of the meat, fries ok too. Place is dingy & run down.. Needs attention. Fairly dirty also.. Not impressed for the number of high reviews this place gets.. Don't get it..

Great cheeseburger poboy. Please do something about that long line to place one's order. Dropped in with a few others to sample the hamburgers, which recently were recognized in local "225 Magazine" as among the best in Baton Rouge. I'm glad business is brisk and the money is rolling in. But, they surely can figure out a way to take customers' orders so that one can get from the front door to the cash register in under 25 minutes. With that said, after the order was placed on our recent visit, the meal arrived at table with surprising promptness, and prepared just as requested. My hamburger variation was actually referred to as a "Hamburger Poboy." Beware, it's an ample portion, but delicious and rewarding in so many ways. Goodwood's variation distinctly reminds me of the same sandwich served at Ye Olde College Inn on Carrollton Ave. in New Orleans many years ago (it's no longer offered at the new incarnation of Ye Olde College Inn). I requested that mine be a cheeseburger, which was cheerfully accommodated. Fully dressed, the sandwich was served on perfect poboy bread that was just crispy enough on the outside, and just fluffy enough on the inside. We ordered onion rings on the side, which proved to be disappointing. The "large" order seemed not so large. The rings themselves were lacking flavor, and were often mushy and hard to handle for eating. So, avoid the rings, get the burger poboy, and expect to stand in line.

I had the catfish platter with grilled vegetables and red beans and rice. The presentation was awesome but the food was mediocre. Great reviews for this place drew me to try Good Wood Grill, but unfortunately they did not deliver for me.

Fabulous burgers!!!! Thick homemade patties with all the fixings. Definitely a local spot. Packed at 3:15 pm! The Cajun curly ques were also great!

C'est si Bon!! The food, the experience and the extremely friendly staff make you feel like you are in the heart of cajun country, but you get it all with a side of hummus! I am lucky enough to live in the subdivision right next to Goodwood grill and I've driven by many times. I am so glad I finally dropped in!

This place was fantastic! I had the catfish poboy and it's more than enough for two people to share! The service was excellent as well, cashier was friendly and the food came out hot and fresh! I will definitely be going back very soon to try more things on their menu.

Terrible place to pick up lunch! Do no not believe them when they say your order will take 20 minutes! You will stand in line at least 20 minutes just to pay. Then, since they apparently don't reserve your food by the order time but only by the pay time, you will wait several minutes more after that. I ordered at 11:40 showed up at noon and did not receive my Greek chicken salad until 12:45. Oh also they will randomly let people skip the line too while rest of us just stare in disbelief. I keep giving it a try because it is very close to my work but I regret it every time. It's not cheap enough or good enough to put up with that. The grilled chicken is good but the greens are just some bagged mix with iceberg, carrots, and cabbage with feta, tomatoes and olives added. I won't be back!

Shrimp philly omg amazing! Cheeseburger delicious!! Adorable standard diner atmosphere filled with what can only be described as satisfied locals. 2 for a dollar brownies that were perfect dense brownie moistness. Service was super nice. I could get so fat in Louisiana. A must eat at when nearby.

Love Goodwood Grill! If you go for lunch order early to take out. This placed is packed between 11:30-1 and there is a reason why, the food is AWESOME!

Extremely fresh seafood, delicious po-boys and piping hot, crispy fries. It doesn't get much better for a neighborhood spot. Great for take-out.

Based on recommendations here, I found this place close to the hotel I was staying in. And the reviews are accurate. You folks that live in Baton Rouge are so lucky to have a place like this. I pulled up and the place was empty (6:30 pm). I was wondering if I had made a good decision, but as soon as I placed my order, several cars pull up and soon the dining room was full. I ordered the catfish poor boy, again based on recommendations, and was very pleased. In addition, I ordered the large onion rings. When they say "large," they mean LARGE. I left very satisfied. I would have given them an extra star except many of the empty tables needed to be cleaned. A couple customers that came in had to bus and clean their own tables. The delivery guy was just standing around playing with his phone. He could have been put to use making the dining room presentable.

Like they say at the counter, "you can't go wrong on anything". From chicken fried steak, a salad, a ham sandwich, seafood po-boys. It's all good. I can't believe this "waitress", I could understand if she was taking something--but it's pure desire and hard work. Her house must be spotless, or a mess from exhaustion here at work. She knows all the rules of restaurants, and MUST have an interest financially or otherwise. Anyway, with the specials you try almost everything. It's just amazing to find a power lunch by a "medical park/hospital". You can't really miss the place. Just look for a ton of cars and a building with a red sign out front & on the building. You owe it to yourself. Trust me.

Fantastic hamburgers, super poboys, and great daily specials. Fridays special of fried catfish is the best. Staff is very very friendly and cordial. I cannot say enough good things about this grill. Keep up the good work guys.

Great food, great employees, great prices, good atmosphere. This is a place that could benefit from having a larger building. Parking limitations can be frustrating sometimes, especially when you are ordering to go for lunch, which is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. Wish there was a way to give it 4 and 1/2.
